Enjoy spectacular mountain views and serene nights star gazing. Year round color, from spring brilliant redbud, dogwood and mountain laurel to the full-out summer blue greens that the oldest North American mountains were named for, to autumn color that only the locally sewn patchwork quilts can complete, to bare, snow covered trees and mountains standing still under clear blue skies on a full moon night.

Ice cream maker, gas grill, central AC, heat, fireplace, wood stove, horse-shoes, games and linens are provided.
Go explore the sights. Hike numerous nearby trails to waterfalls and swimming holes. Bike the Blue Ridge Parkway by motorcycle or pedal. Ride horseback on miles of guided mountain trails. Jump off the Appalachian Trail Foot Bridge into the James River. Kayak, canoe, or swim Balcony Falls. Fish stocked trout streams and lakes. Bow hunt turkey and deer. Pack a picnic and venture off to a local winery and pick apples and peaches at nearby orchards. Or simply relax, play horseshoes, listen to the birds, enjoy the mountain views or curl up with a good book in the hammock or by the fire.

Log cabin sleeps six people. Two bedrooms, full bath. One king, a double loft, and two twin beds. Indoor and outdoor dining. Fully stocked kitchen.
